This role requires versatility and provides an outstanding learning opportunity to gain exposure to the full breadth of US & OUS health economics and value communication services, as well how evidence is integrated into market landscape and market access services offered at BeaconOne Healthcare Partners.

The position requires some prior health economics and value communication consulting experience –You will work under the direction of client and project managers and will be given frequent opportunities to work independently and participate in project delivery and business development. This full-time position is based in the Boston area and requires little travel.

Job description

  • Work independently and as part of a project team, under the direction of a senior leader and, as applicable, with responsibility for supervising junior team members and begin to lead/manage small engagements.
  • Participate in the design and development of research instruments, tools, project plans, and deliverables;
  • Manage and support delivery of a variety of health economics and value /communication engagements, including:
    • Contribute to and support delivery of a variety of health economics and value communication engagements, including:
    • Review and analyze payer / HTA positions, clinical guidelines and treatment pathways, published literature (including performing SLRs and TLRs), to identify key evidence and evidence gaps;
    • Analyze/ evaluate claims and survey data;
    • Support development and validation of health economic models (budget impact, cost-effectiveness, etc.), including interaction with clinicians to validate and publish results;
    • Support design, execution and analysis of a variety of study designs based on Real-World Evidence (surveys, observational studies, medical resource utilization in studies, etc.);
    • Contribute to manuscript development for peer-reviewed publications and conference presentations;
    • Substantively contribute to preparation of global value dossiers that present the evidence-based value on innovative technologies to payers, HTAs and purchasers;
  • Develop initial findings and recommendations for client reports and presentations;
  • Contribute to /participate in development of internal learning, staff training and development, and recruiting activities;
  • Assist development and writing of proposals and other business development activities
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative primary research with payers, physicians, and other industry stakeholders.
  • Communicate data and research findings internally to support development of strategies that are communicated through delivery of client reports and presentations.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS, MS, PhD in life sciences, economics/health economics, epidemiology/public health, or related discipline.
  • 3+ years’ consulting experience, with a strong preference for prior MedTech health economics consulting experience.
  • Ability to aggregate, synthesize and validate research findings obtained from multiple sources.
  • Experience preparing and delivering final deliverables related to SLRs/TLRs, evidence gap assessments, health economic models, value dossiers, and publications and/or health economics services offered at BeaconOne
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with internal team and external partners.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Outstanding attention to detail with strong written and spoken English.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent PowerPoint, Word, and Excel abilities.
  • Self-starter who thrives in a collaborative but less structured team environment.
  • Comfortable wearing many hats as one of the early members of a growing consulting firm.
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the US
