We provide commercial strategy, market access, and health economic/value communication consulting services to MedTech (including diagnostics) companies, ranging from start-up to leading multinational organizations.

We present an exciting opportunity for a Senior Associate, Evidence and Value to join our consulting team. This role requires approximately 2 years of prior, relevant consulting experience in health economics and reimbursement/market access.

Candidates interested in this role should expect to spend time on a diverse set of analytical activities, including:

  • Approximately 60% of the time performing systematic literature reviews (SLRs), writing value dossiers and other value communication tools, and performing quantitative analyses including health economic modeling, survey data analysis, and medical claims/EMR data analysis.
  • Approximately 40% of the time performing desk and primary market research to understand stakeholder evidence requirements and developing reimbursement and market access strategies.

The ideal candidate has prior consulting experience performing SLRs, writing value communication tools, and conducting desk and primary research. The Senior Associate, Evidence and Value will play an integral role in delivering strategic insights through rigorous research and analysis while gaining exposure to both US and OUS markets.  You will work collaboratively in a team environment under the direction of client and project managers and will be given frequent opportunities to work independently and participate in project delivery and business development. This full-time position is based in the Boston area and requires little travel.

Job Description

  • Work independently and as part of a project team under the direction of a senior leader and, as applicable, supervise junior team members and begin leading/managing small engagements.
  • Participate in the design and development of research instruments, tools, project plans, and deliverables.
  • Contribute to and support delivery of a variety of health economics and value communication engagements, including:

     

    • Review and analyze payer/HTA positions, clinical guidelines, treatment pathways, and published literature (including SLRs and TLRs) to identify key evidence and evidence gaps.
    • Analyze and evaluate claims and survey data.
    • Support development and validation of health economic models (budget impact, cost-effectiveness, etc.), including interaction with clinicians to validate and publish results.
    • Support design, execution, and analysis of studies based on Real-World Evidence, including surveys, observational studies, and medical resource utilization studies.
    • Contribute to manuscript development for peer-reviewed publications and conference presentations.
    • Substantively contribute to preparation of global value dossiers that present evidence-based value propositions for innovative technologies to payers, HTAs, and purchasers.
  • Contribute to and support delivery of a variety of evidence development and market access strategy engagements, including:

     

    • Conduct secondary research on MedTech reimbursement and market access, market landscape, and health economics dynamics. This may include reviewing payer/HTA positions, clinical guidelines, treatment pathways, published literature, clinical evidence, market size and trends, claims analyses, analogs/competitors, coding, and payment.
    • Participate in the planning, execution, analysis, and validation of qualitative and quantitative primary research with payers, physicians, and other industry stakeholders.
  • Communicate and partner with colleagues and external collaborators based in Europe, Latin America, and Asia Pacific to meet client project objectives.
  • Develop initial findings and recommendations for client reports and presentations.
  • Contribute to and participate in internal learning, staff training and development, and recruiting activities.
  • Assist with proposal development, proposal writing, and other business development activities.
  • Communicate data and research findings internally to support development of strategies that are communicated through client reports and presentations.
