Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Associate to join our Reimbursement and Market Access consulting team. This entry-level role is ideal for someone passionate about healthcare innovation and global reimbursement and market access.  This role requires versatility and provides an outstanding learning opportunity to gain exposure to the full breadth of US & OUS market landscape, reimbursement and market access assignments offered at BeaconOne Healthcare Partners.

The Associate will play an integral role in delivering strategic insights through rigorous research and analysis. The role offers exposure to a variety of project types across the U.S. and global markets

This is a great opportunity for an early-career professional with relevant prior MedTech reimbursement and/or market access consulting experience to develop a broad skillset in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.

This full-time position is based in the Boston area and requires little travel.

Job Description:

  • Work independently and as part of a project team, under the direction of a project leader.
  • Support design and development of research instruments, tools, and project plans.
  • Conduct secondary research on MedTech reimbursement and market access, market landscape, and health economics dynamics. This can include but not be limited to reviewing payer / HTA positions, clinical guidelines and treatment pathways, published literature, clinical evidence base, market size and trends, claims analyses, analogs/competitors, coding, and payment, etc.
  • Participate in the planning, execution, analysis, and validation of qualitative and quantitative primary research with payers, physicians, and other industry stakeholders.
  • Communicate and partner with colleagues and external collaborators based in Europe, Latin America, and Asia Pacific to meet client project objectives.
  • Translate and communicate data and research findings to support development of client-ready reports and presentations.
  • Contribute to internal learning, development, and recruiting activities.
  • Support development of high-quality client deliverables in collaboration with broader engagement team.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS, MS, PhD in life sciences, economics, public health, or related discipline.
  • 0-2 years’ consulting experience with a preference for prior MedTech reimbursement, health policy consulting experience, or relevant academic coursework, internship, or co-op experience.
  • Ability to aggregate, synthesize and validate research findings obtained from multiple sources.
  • Interest in learning MedTech reimbursement and market access consulting fundamentals and tools.
  • Ideally, some prior exposure to or interest in key US coding and payment systems (CPT and HCPCS).
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with internal team and external partners.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Outstanding attention to detail with strong written and spoken English.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent PowerPoint, Word, and Excel abilities.
  • Self-starter who thrives in a collaborative but less structured team environment.
  • Comfortable wearing many hats as one of the early members of a growing consulting firm.
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the US
