Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Associate to join our Health Economics & Outcomes Research (HEOR) and Market Access consulting team. This entry-level role is ideal for someone passionate about healthcare innovation, MedTech, and global market access.

The Associate will play an integral role in delivering strategic insights through rigorous research and analysis. The role offers exposure to a variety of project types across the U.S. and global markets (Europe, Latin America, and Asia-Pacific), including health economic evaluations, systematic literature reviews to assess value, and more. An ideal candidate will have prior consulting experience with familiarity of health economics and outcomes research (HEOR) concepts.

Key Responsibilities in an HEOR Role:

  • Evidence Assessment and Generation:
    • Conduct literature reviews (systematic or targeted) to generate HEOR evidence and insights.
  • Economic Model Development
    • Perform data analysis and develop cost-effectiveness, budget impact and other HEOR models to assess the value of interventions.
  • Value Communication:
    • Develop HEOR reports, presentations, publications, conference abstracts, and educational materials to support the value proposition of new and novel medtech technologies and drugs.
    • Provide support for HTA submissions, including dossier development.

Other Responsibilities as an Associate:

  • Work independently and collaboratively on project teams under the direction of senior consultants.
  • Support the design and development of research tools, methodologies, and project plans.
  • Conduct secondary research, including:
    • Analysis of reimbursement landscapes and HTA decisions
    • Review of coding and payment systems (e.g., CPT, HCPCS)
    • Evaluation of treatment guidelines, clinical evidence, market trends, and competitor analogs
  • Conduct primary research, including:
    • Participate in the planning and execution of qualitative and quantitative primary research with stakeholders such as payers, physicians, and key opinion leaders  to understand clients need leverage KOL insights
  • Collaborate with global partners and team members in Europe, Latin America, and Asia-Pacific to deliver high-quality client work.
  • Help prepare PowerPoint reports, Excel analyses and other client deliverables.
  • Contribute to internal initiatives including knowledge development.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in life sciences, economics, public health, or a related field.
  • 0-2 years of relevant consulting experience (or strong internship/co-op experience).
  • Interest in MedTech, health economics, health policy, and reimbursement strategy.
  • Ability to gather, synthesize, and validate data from diverse sources.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Familiarity with systematic literature review process (PICOS, inclusion/exclusion criteria, search strategy, screening studies) and meta-analysis.
  • Familiarity with development of budget impact models and cost-effectiveness models.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and comfort working in a team-oriented, client-focused setting.
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Self-starter comfortable working in a growing, entrepreneurial environment with evolving structure.
  • Must have legal authorization to work in the U.S.
